Amari Yolas, a sophomore at Palisades High, won the boys 100-meter dash in a wind-legal 11.29 seconds at the CIF L.A. City Section Finals at Scott King Track at Birmingham High's Rick Prizant Stadium. Yolas, who joined the track and field team late after playing baseball for the Dolphins, also contributed to a third-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay in 43.29.
